Songs, sand and sunshine created a relaxed atmosphere for spectators at Bleach at Burleigh last Saturday.

This is the third year of the Bleach Festival that celebrates music and arts.

Although figures have not yet been finalised, it is estimated by the Bleach team that about 5000 people enjoyed one of the last events of the festival.

Project and Operations Manager of Bleach Rachael Cannard was thrilled with the turnout and said Burleigh beach was the ideal location.

“It’s a perfect beach for us to have people on the sand and dancing their hearts out,” she said.

She is confident that Bleach has a bright future ahead.

“We were thrilled with the amount of local community and visitors who came to celebrate our coastal culture, our beach and surfing life,” she said.

Robbie said he felt blessed to be a performer at the festival.

“It’s a great opportunity. I can come down here, hang out on the beach and get to play music,” he said.

“It’s something I love doing and I’m being paid to do this, like how does that even work.”

The 25-year-old said that the concept of the Bleach Festival was a great idea.

“It brings the Gold Coast community together and they share through music and art,” he said.

The 27-degree day saw an incredible turnout, with the audience covering the beach and nearby lawn, unwinding and listening to tunes.

The festival was held on the Gold Coast from March 7-23 starting with Splash featuring Circa acrobatics at Coolangatta.

The annual Bleach BBQ was held at Palm Beach Parklands and ended the festival on Sunday.
