South African-born teen Sarushka Reddy is making a name for herself as a local photographer with a combined Instagram and Facebook following of about 3500.

Schools often book Sarushka as a formal photographer and she also works with models on their portfolios.

“Ever since I can remember I have loved cameras and photography as there is something about capturing a moment that really intrigues me,” Sarushka said.

“I have been lucky that since moving to Australia and in particular the Gold Coast, I have had the opportunity to shoot in such a beautiful part of the world. I mean the back drop truly is spectacular if you think about it.”

Sarushka hopes that through her Bachelor of Communications majoring in Public Relations she will be able to choose a career path that allows her to continue photography professionally.

Gold Coast resident Millie Alder said she always went to Sarushka when she needed a photographer.

“Sarushka has taken photos for me on a number of occasions now, school formal photos and a portfolio piece,” Millie said.

“There is no doubt in my mind that Sarushka is going to be a big name one day because her work is already being noticed and on the Gold Coast she is in high demand,” she said
